A new land is born from the sprouts of life — where new lives emerge, letting out their first cries and heralding a new era. This is the very origin of the story retold by the millennia-old loom. From its first rhythmic beats, the silk thread of time weaves a journey, with the flowing white áo dài guiding the audience back to the beginning — to “Life.”
The Wedding – Memory of Hoi An during the Champa period
Inspired by the legendary diplomatic marriage between Princess Huyen Tran and King Che Man, “Wedding” brings to life the vibrant grandeur of a golden era — a poignant tribute to the ancestral pursuit of peace and prosperity for the nation.
Ships and Sea – Hoi An’s memories of the transition period
Venturing out to sea, the brave sons of Hoi An — born of heroic blood — stand undaunted before the storms, driven by a vision of a prosperous future for their homeland. Though the journey is fraught with hardship and trials, they press on with unwavering faith. Deep within, the warm light of home continues to burn, and guiding them through the darkness is the enduring love of the faithful, loyal Hoi An girls — a love as steadfast as the flame that lights their path.
The Shore – Hoi An’s memories of multilateral cultural interference
The thread of time glows upon the loom of memory, unveiling a radiant tapestry of the past… With a sea as open as the hearts of its people, Hoi An blossomed into a vibrant port town, rich with cultural imprints from around the world.
